It’s grilling season!!! So, take a gander at these lovely recipes, invite friends and family over, and fire up the grill. Cooking outside is one of my favorite ways to get summer off to a good start. Enjoy!
Appetizers – All Recipes
You can’t have a BBQ party without some appetizers on hand. You might as well have a selection to choose from for your next gathering. The guests will need something to munch on while they mingle and wait for the main course.
BBQ Chicken – Simply Organic
When it comes to grilling, the spices tend to enhance the wonderful flavor grilling brings out in food. The combination of tasty spices and smoke from the grill often make meat taste so much better. This recipe has an excellent combination of spices for chicken.
Corn on the Cob – What’s Cooking America
I rarely have a summer cookout where corn-on-the-cob doesn’t make an appearance. If you’ve never cooked corn on the grill, then this recipe will help you through each step. It’s simple and I like the flavor the grill adds to each ear of corn.
Potatoes with Chive Butter – Food and Wine
This recipe sounds delicious! I’ve cooked potatoes on the grill a number of times, but never thought about doing it as this recipe suggests. Yummy!
Pizza – Simply Recipes
Heating up the oven for pizza in the summer time is something I try to avoid. I do this by cooking it on the grill. You’re basically just using the grill to cook the pizza crust and then to warm the entire pizza long enough to make the cheese nice and melty. Here’s an excellent step-by-step recipe for you to try.
Kebabs – Food Network
I couldn’t narrow it down to just one type of kebab recipe, so…here’s a link to 50 recipes! As long as you have the skewers on hand, you should be able to try a variety to see which recipe you like the best. This selection would be perfect for a kebab party this summer!
Grilling is more fun with awesome accessories. This Barbecue Tool Set with Non-Slip Handles looks like it would really help. If you tend to get too close and get burns you should check out this Silicone Heat Resistant Glove Set.
Fruits – Organic Gardening
Who ever thought about putting fruit on the grill was on to something good! I’ve tried pineapple many times, but this list of fruits for grilling covers so much more territory. It’s amazing! I’m so excited to try some of these out this grilling season. Who knows, I might just fire up the grill this winter for some grilled fruit to boost my spirits during the cold months.
Pound Cake – The Kitchn
I never would have thought about slicing up some pound cake and tossing it onto a hot grill. It looks tasty in the picture though and there are quite a few links to other desserts using grilled pound cake. Sounds like fun!
