Over the years, I’ve grown to love looking out my window at the birds during the winter. They’re always busy but project this calmness about themselves, as if they know its all going to be alright and that God will provide. After all, “Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before God. Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows” (Luke 12:6-7). It often puts my thoughts back into perspective just watching them.
We just have one bird house right now but it gets a lot of action. This year, I’d like to take it up a notch with some homemade bird feeder projects that I can do with my kids. More than anything, I want them to fall in love with the beautiful world God’s created for us and to enjoy it as I do.

Use Those Cookie Cutters for Bird Feeder Ornaments
I love this simple recipe using gelatin and large cookie cutters to make bird feeder cookies so to speak. This could be done seasonally to make a fun festive addition to your yard.
