Pine needle tea is delicious, and very good for you – if you haven’t tried this healthy beverage, it’s time to try it! You can sweeten the tea with a bit of honey if you like a sweeter tea, or sip it in its natural state if you prefer. I like it hot in the winter, and iced in the summer – Pine tea is great all year around!
How to Make Pine Tea
The first time you make pine tea, make it mild. Just take a few pine needles, place them in your mug, and add boiling water. To steep the tea, let the needles sit in the water for at least ten minutes, then remove the needles and reheat the water if it’s gotten too cold for you. When it’s just the right temperature for you, sip away. Add a lemon slice for added flavor and extra vitamin C if desired. Ideally, letting the needles infuse their goodness into the water for twenty minutes is best; although letting them infuse for a couple of hours is fine as well. Also, you can make a large amount of this herbal tea and refrigerate it for a refreshing summer drink.

What an excellent use for that left-over Christmas pine – don’t just throw it away, turn it into a delicious and healthy beverage instead! Pine needle tea is loaded with health nourishing vitamins, minerals and other nutrients that your body needs. The best part of all is that this herbal tea is free!
