There’s a new resource for preppers on the Internet – it’s called I.N.C.H. Survival. Mom Prepares asked for an interview with the director of the site, Shaun. He agreed to give you and the other Mom Prepares readers an inside peek at what I.N.C.H. survival is all about:
Mom Prepares: What inspired you to launch InchSurvival.com?
“I’ve always had an interest in survival and found myself searching among countless websites to gather all the information I was looking for and found it to be a painstaking long process. I was also looking for an online community (social network) where I could share my ideas and thoughts with other people and at the same time find all of the information I was looking for. There wasn’t really anything like this available, so I decided to create my own online hub not just for preppers and survivalists, but for anyone looking to become more self sufficient or self sustainable. After a lot of planning, InchSurvival.com was created.”
Mom Prepares: What does I.N.C.H. stand for?
“I.N.C.H. stands for I’m Never Coming Home. I used the acronym in our website name because there are so many situations arising in our troubled world. Some people are leaving their homes because of war, others have to leave because there are no jobs, they have been affected by natural disasters (which are on the rise) or their economy is collapsing. Our world has become a very unsafe and unstable place to live and anything can happen to any of us in a blink of an eye.”
Mom Prepares: Who is your main intended audience?
“We don’t actually have a specific type of audience that we are targeting. All of the information that we share can be used by beginner or advanced preppers, campers, hikers, people interesested in homesteading, gardening, canning, survival, etc.”
Mom Prepares: What do you think is the most valuable aspect of your site?
“I think the most valuable aspect of the site is the amount of diverse information that is available to our readers. We’re adding new content on a daily basis; a lot of our information is actually submitted by some of our loyal readers. Also, the fact that we merged our website with blogging and social networking makes it easy for people to connect with each other and share their ideas and thoughts. It’s 100% free for everyone and the sign up questions are very limited and anonymous. You don’t have to be a registered member to view and comment on our blog posts, but by registering you will be able to connect with other members. Anyone looking to contribute content or information to our blog/social network can click on the “contribute” link at the top of our site. There are a lot of subjects that we are trying to cover so you’re looking for something specific and can’t find it, please let us know and we’ll make sure that we research the subject and make the information available to everyone.”
The Bottom Line: Prepping Begins with Baby Steps!
As you can see, there’s a lot going on behind INCH, but here’s what’s most important: Don’t be deterred by prepper jargon, fancy equipment and confusing “resources.” Everyone starts prepping with baby steps, so take heart! I.N.C.H. Survival and Mom Prepares are just two of many great websites for preppers, here to help YOU prepare for natural disasters, EMP attacks, and anything else the world might throw at you, because smart moms are prepared for anything! So, check out INCHSurvival.com, and stay tuned here at Mom Prepares, because our goal is to provide you with the best information available.
