Kids love to craft and now that the weather is cooling off, it’s time to find some thanksgiving crafts for kids and gather around the table to make some cool decor to beautify your home and your thanksgiving table! HomeTalk asked me to currate a clipboard of 13 Thanksgiving Craft Ideas for Kids and I had so much fun finding these and making a list of the ones I want to try with my boys!
Thanksgiving is by far my favorite holiday. In fact, I get a little peeved when I hear Christmas music playing or see Christmas decor going up (or even on sale in the store!) before Thanksgiving is over. My family has always had a large gathering of family and friends around for Thanksgiving and my husband’s family all celebrates together, so no matter where we are for the holiday, there’s a gathering of people I love, good food and great conversation.
My kids adore this season and Thanksgiving because it means there are pumpkins everywhere. I don’t know what it is about little kids and pumpkins, but the smaller the pumpkin, the cuter it is and the bigger the pumpkin the wider the kid’s eyes get. The falling leaves are fun to play in and mommy starts saying “yes” more often to their pleas for hot cocoa.

Every year my boys (now 7 and 3) gather up leaves to press between wax paper or to make leaf rubbings, and we collect sticks and pine cones and build fun things with them in the backyard. This year I’m going to add some things from my board! I want to do the thankful wreath kids craft and the “give thanks” cinnamon clove pumpkins for sure! And I’m pretty sure the boys will want to try the no-sew turkey t-shirts!
