Ok, so that’s not entirely true. I just did nothing in the garden. The week was actually quite busy. Hairy in fact.
This week we celebrated my husband’s birthday, the marriage of a dear friend and got scared out of our wits when my husband nearly passed out at work and spent the rest of the morning at the Dr’s office having tests. Long story short, he’s ok. Just needs to regulate his blood pressure.
The leaves changed last week. My kale came up. My kid accidentally turned the water all the way on instead of all the way off. And then it rained. And rained. And rained. Surprisingly, it only knocked about half the leaves to the ground. The ones that remain cling to the branches, fluttering in hues of gold and red. The ground beneath is carpeted in damp autumn color.
I don’t expect to be sharing much garden news the next few weeks. Things are just slowly growing as the weather continues to cool down. But, with the increasing cold I’ll be staying indoors trying new things in the kitchen, including homemade cream cheese, and I can’t wait to share my adventures with you!
