I’ve never been much of a makeup person, but I do like to cover blemishes to feel more confident and look better when going out or making videos for online. As I learn more and more about going natural I especially do not want to rub chemical laden cosmetics into my skin. I was very happy to find Cowgirl Dirt and their “Totally Natural – Totally Western – Pure Cosmetics.”
From their website:
“COWGIRL DIRT products are made with the purest natural and organic ingredients. Our collection of mineral-based products not only enhances your natural beauty, but also contains vitamins, nutrients and anti-oxidants that nourish your skin. You can be confident that you will not only look your best, but feel your best when wearing COWGIRL DIRT!”
They very kindly said that I could pick out an item to try for this review. I felt like a kid in a candy store. My concealer is pretty much gone so I knew I wanted to try that, but what kind? I decided to go with the Neutral Medium Concealer. The description hooked me when I read, “Not only are your blemishes hidden, but our unique blend of ingredients heals and repairs your skin.”
If you are concerned about buying foundation through the internet when you can’t see the color with your skin they have a guidelines page with great tips to help you. They also have a good returns policy and an easy way to contact them and ask questions.
My concealer arrived fairly quickly for coming to the East Coast from Montana, and it was packaged nicely in a little burlap bag.
Now, you remember that I’m not much of a makeup person? I don’t have a brush to use with it so I just use my finger. I do know enough to not use my index finger because I’ll push too hard without realizing it. At first it seemed like I wasn’t getting anything on my finger, but when I touched my face it did cover what I needed hidden. Think it was too much to cover my entire face? I’m kidding!
Another cosmetic staple for me is the lip balm my girls and I made with natural ingredients.
I mostly use the concealer on Sundays when I’m getting ready for church. I enjoy taking the time to put it on, knowing that it doesn’t have any harmful chemicals in it, and looking nice when I stand in the choir in front of the rest of the church.
Cowgirl Dirt has a lot of other products for the lips, eyes, and body as well as makeup brushes. I’m hoping to buy some more very soon!
