This natural homemade all purpose cleaning spray has three ingredients, zero chemicals, and can be used to clean everything from your bathroom sink to your cutting boards. Win, win, win.

Shelf Life: 6 months

Benefits: Vinegar is a cleaning powerhouse! It kills bacteria and dissolves grease, grime, and mildew.

The essential oils help to seriously boost the cleaning power of this spray and shouldn’t be skipped. Lemon, orange, and grapefruit oils are all antibacterial and help to cut through grease.

Tips and Tricks: For a deeper clean, follow up with our disinfectant spray.

Avoid using plastic bottles as the essential oils can eat away at the plastic and leach it into the cleaning solution. We recommend metal instead of glass here since it’s easy to break the bottle while you’re cleaning.

Variations: We used citrus essential oils for their cleaning abilities, but also because they add a nice, fresh “clean” scent.

Other great essential oils to use include tea tree, peppermint, eucalyptus, cinnamon, orange, and pine. You can also infuse your vinegar with herbs for an added boost!

Description

This natural homemade all purpose cleaning spray has three ingredients, zero chemicals, and can be used to clean everything from your bathroom sink to your cutting boards.

Scale

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup distilled water
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 20 drops lemon essential oil
  • 20 drops orange essential oil
  • 10 drops grapefruit essential oil

Tools & Supplies

  • Bowl
  • Measuring cups
  • Funnel
  • Sanitized metal spray bottle

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients into a bowl.
  2. Using a funnel, pour mixture into spray bottle.
  3. Shake before using.

Notes

This spray can be used all over your home, but avoid using it on marble, granite, and stone, as the acid in the vinegar can scratch the stone. For these surfaces, we recommend a spray made of 2 tablespoon castile soap to 1 cup distilled water.
