Essential oils can be wonderful during labour and delivery; they can help to calm the mama and speed up the delivery process.
You will want to make sure that the essential oils you use during pregnancy are safe for mama and baby.
Shelf Life: 1 year
Benefits: For labour, the lavender and frankincense are both relaxing and calming.
For Delivery, do not use this roller ball unless you are in active labour. Clary sage and jasmine help to promote contractions.
Tips and Tricks: If you’re using coconut oil, make sure it’s fractionated or it won’t come out of the roller ball.
Variations: We used fractionated coconut oil as our carrier oil, but you can use whatever oil you like.
How to Use: For the labour roller ball, run it behind your ears and over your temples and forehead, or get your partner to massage it into your neck and shoulders.
For the delivery ball, massage over your uterus and inhale the scent. You can also roll/massage over your feet.
