Rating:
You may have seen Ritual Women’s Multivitamins all over social media lately. I wanted to see what they were all about, and was very pleasantly surprised.
These are great! Everything about them is transparent, from their packaging to what goes in them. They're vegan, non-GMO, gluten and allergy-free, with no synthetic fillers, additives, or colorants.
I’d definitely recommend them to anyone who may have some nutrient deficiencies. And really, who doesn’t?
How are Ritual Multivitamins Different?
Where do I start? As you can see, they don’t look like any vitamin I’ve ever seen. The caplets contain both dry ingredients in tiny beadlets and wet ingredients, like omega-3, in an oil.
This way you don’t have to fuss with different pills or separate anything. It’s a really effective way to take vitamins. Plus, they look cool AF.
The capsules are made with a special no-nausea formula. I usually get an upset stomach when I take multis, but I don’t when taking Ritual’s.
The whole packaging in general is chic, modern, and beautiful. I know that in the end, it doesn’t change the quality of the ingredients. But I value aesthetics. Enjoying the look, feel, and smell of something enhances its value.
Yes, that’s right, I said smell. Each bottle contains a plastic tab infused with mint. When I take one of these I don’t get that stale, chalky taste in my mouth or throat.
Instead I’m left with a slightly minty breath. It really enhances the experience of taking a pill.
You could almost say it’s a fresh take on multivitamins. Sorry—I had to.
More importantly, most multivitamins pack in tons of nutrients that we get plenty of in our diet, but leave some crucial ones out.
Ritual multivitamins contain nutrients that we likely aren’t getting enough of. Ideally we should be getting all our vitamins from food, but realistically, that just doesn’t always happen.
Especially once you have a kid!
Ritual estimates that if you bought all these supplements separately, you’d be paying over $200.00 a month. Not to mention the hassle of running to the pharmacy every time you run out of something!
I really like the affordable subscription style that covers all my nutritional bases.
What's in Ritual Multivitamins?
Each multivitamin contains nine ingredients sourced from all over the world and specifically formulated for women.
Every ingredient has its own web page complete with a manufacturer interview, nutritional information, and list of scientific studies proving its safety and health benefits.
Folate
or 5MTHF Glucosamine Salt, is sourced from Italy. It benefits mood, DNA synthesis, and brain health. It also works with B12 to support the heart.
Omega-3
is one of my favorite components of this multivitamin. Most omega-3 supplements are sourced from fish oil. But Ritual sources from vegan algal oil, which is fermented microalgae. Omega-3 is essential for the brain, heart, and immunity.
Vitamin B12
comes in its activated form, methylcobalamin. Not only is B12 amazing for skin, hair, and nails, but it also gives you energy and supports brain and nerve function.
Vitamin D3
is crucial for immunity, healthy bones, calcium absorption, and cognition. Ritual uses a patented vegan D3 called Vitashine™. It is made from globally-sourced lichen (usually D3 supplements are made from sheep's wool or fish liver oil).
Iron
is an essential mineral that more than half of all women are deficient of. Ritual uses Ferrous Bisglycinate, which they claim is more efficient than other nausea-inducing forms of iron. Iron supports brain, energy, and blood health.
Vitamin K2
or Pure Non-Soy MK7 from Norway, is supposed to last longer in the body than other K2 supplements. It is needed for bone and heart health and improves skin.
Boron
supports bone, joint, and hormonal health. It also helps you absorb more Vitamin D.
Vitamin E
comes from soy-free mixed tocopherols, which mimic the vitamin E found in healthy food. Most of us know how great Vitamin E is for the skin, but it’s also an antioxidant with anti-aging properties too.
Magnesium
is an essential mineral that, like iron, over half of all women need more of. It is crucial for bone, teeth, heart, nerve, and muscle health. It can also maintain mood and improve sleep quality.
How it works
Ritual multivitamins work as a subscription of $30.00 a month, and you can cancel any time. Each bottle contains 60 capsules, and you’re supposed to take two a day. Shipping is free, and they even send an email a few days before it goes out to you.
So if you wanted to cancel last minute, change your address, etc., they make it easy. Ritual uses the subscription method so that they can ship fresh and preservative-free products, which I love.
Results from Using Ritual
I think it’s fair to say that everyone will notice different results, because we all have different bodies, diets, and needs. I for one feel great and have noticed a particular boost in my skin.
Ritual claims that benefits come in phases. The first three months are about filling in your nutritional gaps. Months three to six support red blood cells and vital organs.
In months six to nine your calcium absorption will be improved for better bone health, and from there on out it’s all about healthy aging and prevention.
Final Thoughts About Ritual Multivitamin
If you choose to take a multivitamin, I recommend Ritual. You won’t find their blend of nutrients anywhere else. If you’re expecting, they also have prenatal supplements worth checking out too. I’ve noticed a positive difference in my health, both inside and out, and I think it’s an awesome value for money!
